"FoneFilmFestival" is a traditionally organized national and international short film festival. However, due to pandemic conditions, it is decided to be held at the national level this year. "FoneFilmFestival", which will be held for the fourth time this year under the sponsorship of Asfen Construction and Investment, aims to bring together amateur and semi-professional creative video and film producers in the ever-expanding and diversifying film field in our world today. The deadline for participation in the festival is Thursday, May 5, 2022, 17.00 o'clock.
The festival, which will be held for the fourth time this year by the Cinema and Television Department, Faculty of Communication, at the Eastern Mediterranean University consists of 'High School' and 'University' categories at the national level. The festival which started with the aim of creating a short film culture in the north of Cyprus and aims to increase the interest of our young students in cinema, to popularize it, spread it, support student filmmakers, and to contribute to the development and promotion of the country's cinema in this way.
This year's theme has been determined as 'Imagining the Future'. This topic may consist of the examples in parentheses or any other theme related to the topic (Hope, Home, Environment, Health, Economy, Society). Anyone who can certify that they are in a TRNC high school for the 'High School Category' and anyone who can certify that they are a student at a TRNC university for the 'University Category' can participate in the competition.
After completing the online form on the registration tab, your registration will be taken by us and then; the signed version of the online application form (you can download it from the 'Form' tab, after signing the scan file or photo), student certificate, the subject of the film (synopsis), if any, the poster of the film and the photographs from the film (in electronic form), the documents consisting of the director's photo should be sent to "fff@emu.edu.tr" e-mail address on Thursday, May 5, 2022, until 17:00.
